ABOUT

How this site is paid, and what that never buys

The short answer

WhichWarmup is built to earn affiliate commission on purchases made through its links. As things stand no programme is active, so every outbound link on the site is an ordinary link carrying no tracking parameter and earning nothing. When that changes, the links change visibly, and nothing else does.

Where things actually stand

Plenty of sites carry a disclosure written for a situation that may or may not apply to them. Ours describes today.

The state of play right now

  • None of the tools covered here has an affiliate programme active on our side
  • Every outbound link is a plain link to the vendor's own page
  • No link carries a tracking parameter, a partner code or a redirect of ours
  • The site has therefore earned nothing from any of them

What happens if one becomes active

  • Links to that vendor carry its partner parameter, and a purchase may earn us a commission
  • You pay the same price; the commission comes out of the vendor's margin
  • Those links are marked as sponsored in the page's markup, which your browser and any crawler can read
  • This page says so, and the change applies to every link to that vendor across the site, not just the buttons
You can check this yourself, on any page. Hover or long-press any link to a tool and read the address. If it points straight at the vendor with nothing appended, no one is being paid for it. That is the state of every outbound link on the site today.

What commission does not buy

The disclosure that matters is not that money exists, it is what the money cannot move. These are commitments, and each one is checkable against the site.

What affiliate revenue does not affect
Never affected by a programmeHow you can tell
Which tool the diagnostic sends you toIt routes on your answers, and one of its outcomes is that you should buy nothing at all
The prices and limits we publishThey come from the vendor's own page and are printed with their source and date in the ledger
The limits and caveats we record on a toolEvery product page carries what the tool does not do, including tools we would earn on
Whether a tool is covered at allCoverage depends on whether we can source its pricing publicly; one vendor is missing for exactly that reason
The absence of an effectiveness rankingNo page names a best tool, because no public evidence supports one. A commission would not create that evidence

The conflict we cannot design away

An affiliate site earns when you buy, and the honest answer where you should buy nothing earns nothing. That pull is real and no policy sentence removes it. What we can do is make the cheap outcome a first-class result rather than a footnote: the diagnostic ends on "you do not need a warmup tool" whenever your answers point there, the cost pages are built to show you the smallest configuration that solves your problem, and the comparisons say when a tool you already pay for covers the job.

The second pull is toward a ranking, because a page naming a winner converts better than a page explaining that nobody can measure one. We do not publish one, and the methodology explains why that is a statement about the available evidence rather than modesty.

Who else pays us, and the answer is nobody

  • No vendor has paid for coverage, placement or a verdict, and no vendor has seen a page before it was published.
  • No sponsored posts and no link insertions. The site publishes only what it wrote itself, and those requests go unanswered.
  • No advertising. There is no ad network on the site and no display inventory.
  • No data sold. There is no list and no reader profile to sell; the privacy page covers what is collected.

If any of that changes, this page changes with it, and it changes before the money arrives rather than after.

Questions people also ask

Do you earn a commission if I buy through your links?

Not today. No affiliate programme is active on our side, so every outbound link is a plain link with no tracking parameter and earns nothing. If a programme becomes active, its links will carry a partner parameter and be marked as sponsored, and this page will say so.

Does an affiliate programme change which tool you recommend?

No. The diagnostic routes on your answers and one of its outcomes is that you should buy nothing. Prices come from vendor pages with a recorded source and date, and every product page carries the tool's limits, including for tools we would earn on.

Can I pay to be listed on WhichWarmup?

No. Coverage is not for sale, and sponsored posts and link insertions are declined without reply. Whether a tool is covered depends on whether we can source its pricing from its own public pages.
